Favorite Books for Christmas

I love Christmas books! We have a storage bin full of them that we bring out each December. We read a different one each night of the month. Here are some of my favorites:

The Jolly Christmas Postman

This interactive book is full of letters from beloved characters like Goldilocks, Baby Bunting, and even the Big Bad Wolf. The Jolly Postman has to deliver each of them and sometimes runs into some, well - adventures!

Christmas Day in the Morning

Author Pearl S. Buck tells the story of a son's love for his father on Christmas morning. What sometimes goes unnoticed is brought to light. We find out that the best gifts are those given from the heart, not necessarily those which cost a lot of money.

The Polar Express

Who can deny the charm of Chris Van Allsburg's award-winning picture book? Now a major motion picture, the book tells the original story from a boy's perspective of childhood Christmases.

The 12 Days of Christmas

One of our family favorites is Robert Sabuda's pop-up book of the famous Christmas song. We even sing along!
